"Underneath the skin there's a human,
Buried deep within there's a human,
And despite everything I'm still human,
I think that I'm,
I'm still human,
I think that I'm,
dying here,
I think that I'm,
I'm still human."
Name: Tony Stark
Canon: MCU
Alignment: Human (Blood tainted/poisoned with palladium.)
Info: "Genius, Billionaire, Playboy, Philanthropist."
An accident that nearly killed him left him with a deadly wound that would inflict slow death upon the prodigy. To save his life, he developed a miniature arc reactor on the fly that remains embedded in his chest. The palladium core of his reactor constantly poisons his body with the discharge left behind. The palladium poisoning seems to be lethal to vampires in large doses. Small feeding will render them severely ill as their body rejects the heavy metal. If they survive, they're left severely weakened and in desperate need of another immediate feeding as whatever sustenance provided by his blood would have burned up quickly in healing the ailing vampire.
He found out, quite by accident, that the healing properties of vampire blood reverse the effects of the palladium poisoning and reset the metaphorical death counter back to zero. If the arc reactor is ever removed for a length of time, Tony's heart will stop and the build up of vampire blood in his system will likely turn him. In the event of his death and vampire rebirth, his own blood would inevitably kill him.
With a few accidental vampire deaths due to his blood, word got out, making him somewhat of a target to the vampire community. Why would they let a potential weapon against them remain living? If someone found a way to manipulate the poisoning in Tony's blood to form an inoculation against the vampire threat, it could effectively wipe them out. So it's no shock that he's sought by humans for a weapon to use against vampires and by vampires to prevent humans from using him as a weapon. Tony, quite honestly, wants nothing to do with either cause. Eradication of the vampires leaves him to die a very painful death due to the palladium poisoning, so it's not something on his 'To Do' list. Of course, he's judged by humanity because he refuses to offer his 'cure' for the vampire problem. He's a weapon.I am Palladium Man.
A pleasant side effect left by each dose of vampire blood leaves him slightly stronger, faster, and more durable than even the most fit human. Any wounds he sustains within the first ten hours of his dose will heal rapidly. Though he doesn't like to wait too long, he can go roughly a week without a dose before he reaches a critical point.
