[Peggy was embarrassed by how long it took her to actually make this call, and not because of the fact that she was still having issues using her MID. The real issue had been still coming to terms with the fact that Howard Stark had a son, and not only that, but he was here.

But of all the things she had learned since her arrival, this wasn't at all the most groundbreaking. Given Howard's record...well, it was only a matter of time before he had procreated.

She hated how unsure she was about reaching out, though. Would he even know her? She hoped her and Howard would stay friends through the years, but if there was one thing she had learned since she boarded this ship, she couldn't be sure of anything anymore.]

Is this Anthony Stark? Son of Howard Stark? [just. testing the waters first.]

Tony Stark. Yeah, son of Howard, that would be me. And I'm speaking to...?

[Something about her voice seems familiar, but he can't put a face to it. So, he decides to let FRIDAY analyse her audio and scan the network for a compatible match so he could bring up a picture. Yeah, needless to say, she didn't find a match. So he's doubly confused.]

-- Sorry, Tony. [She likes Anthony better but whatever!!] This is Peggy. Peggy Carter.

[She pauses there, waiting to gauge his reaction before she continues.]

I'm afraid we haven't met yet. Or I haven't met you, at the very least. I'm a friend of your father's.

[There's a long pause from his end. He's debating. His father was here at one point, before Howard knew his mother.]

Yeah, I know who you are. [Is that... was that a break in his voice? Surely not. He'll clear his throat anyway.] So, you're another unfortunate victim of the Ingress? He was here, you know. Like, six months ago? Maybe less, I dunno, I was on ice for a while. I never told him who I was.

Anthony doesn't show up on the network tag, so who told you?

[Don't think she didn't notice that break in his voice. But he covers it well, in an all too familiar way. She might have commented on it, too, if he hadn't hit her with new information.]

He was? I had no idea. [this is the first time she's hearing this and she's not sure how to feel about it.] What happened to him?

[why does she feel like she's going to be getting someone in trouble now?] I met Dr. Banner just after I arrived. He informed me of your presence here. Captain Rogers confirmed everything he told me.

Some people stay, some people vanish--sent back home, I guess? Some people come back, but don't remember being here before. It's odd, but that's life here. Likely something to do with the temporal mechanics of it? Or maybe the ingress wipes you so it doesn't contaminate the time line. I'm not too sure yet.

[That's not to say he hasn't tried to figure it out.]

Ooooof course they did. I can't believe Bruce gave you my full first name. Traitor. He and I are going to have words. [He doesn't actually sound particularly upset. Just huffy.]

So, how're things, Aunt Peg--gy Carter. Agent Carter. [Nice save Tony... not. Just gonna move along and pretend it didn't happen.] I'm sure Rogers was thrilled to see you. Did you two catch up?

[She's not sure she likes the sound of that. Too many ifs, if you asked her.] Well, I'm sure if anyone can figure it out, a Stark can.

[Steve had told her what Tony was capable of, not that she was surprised. It only made sense for Howard's son to be just as skilled, if not more skilled, with technology.]

They both shared that you go by Tony. I just happen to like Anthony better. [this is her basically saying not to give Bruce or Steve a hard time.

And that was a terrible save, Tony.] We have, but don't change the subject-- did you just call me 'Aunt Peggy'?

[It's not unexpected news. To be completely honest, she would have been more surprised to know she hadn't been a part of Tony's life.]

[She was incredibly disarming and chiding at the same time. Something that was always uniquely Aunt Peggy. It pushed him to make certain concessions.]

Yeah, you always did. Fine. Anthony. Have at it. [He groused half heartedly. But if it rubs off onto the team calling him Anthony, you can believe he will get very vocal about it.]

I... might have? You'd pop in and out to visit dad and Jarvis. [Well, you know, before Howard sent him off to boarding school.] The 'aunt' thing. That was Jarvis' fault.

[Too bad he can't see her triumphant smile. So she's absolutely going to take advantage of his permission, but she won't go overboard. He may know her, but she's just getting to know him.]

Somehow that doesn't surprise me. Mr. Jarvis would be the one to start such a thing. [It isn't hard to hear the hint of amusement in her voice. She's pleased by everything he's telling her, she really is.]
