It happens. There's always a catalyst for amazing scientific discoveries. I wouldn't call it giving him credit, but it was the catalyst.

My guys were double-dealing behind my back. I put an end to my weapons manufacturing line. I tracked down as many of my stray weapons as I could and destroyed them. I mostly quit the party scene and put my mind and my money to work for a useful cause.

Now I fight terrorist organisations with a bunch of weirdos. It's kind of cathartic.

[ Clark really wants to argue the point, but he can sense that it's not going to get him anywhere - and it doesn't matter that much anyway. What's done is done and Tony is who he is now because he chose to let those experiences shape him into something better. ]

You do the best you can with what you have. I guess we're alike in that way.

It does sound nice though - working with a team. Probably a lot easier to control the collateral.
